MS. TRONIE LOU “BOB” CHEEK

BURLINGTON – Ms. Tronie Lou “Bob” Cheek, 75, of 1311 Brightwood Drive, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at AuthoraCare Collective of Burlington (Hospice Home of Alamance).

A native of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Mr. George Kenneth Cheek and Mrs. Stella Mae Enoch Cheek, both deceased.

Tronie was also preceded in death by her grandson, Thaddeus Christian Slade and  three sisters, Joni and Claire Cheek and Rande Cheek Harris.

Left to cherish Tronie’s memories are her two daughters, Miranda and Marsha Slade both of Burlington; one son, Roy Lee Slade, Jr., of Elon; six brothers, Kenneth Lee Cheek, Chester Cheek (Edwina), Alan Drew Cheek, Isadore Cheek (Mandy), Earl Cheek (Michelle) and Karl Cheek all of Burlington; one sister, Carolyn Upsher of Burlington; two beloved grandchildren, Brendon and Brielle Brown both of Burlington; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Tromie’s public viewing will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 2:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.

The graveside service for Tronie will be held on Monday, May 29, 2023 at 12:00 pm at North Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers and food, donations would greatly be appreciated to cover final expenses.  Funds can be given to the funeral home or Miranda Slade.
