MS. SHIRLEY JEAN ROGERS

BURLINGTON – Ms. Shirley Jean Rogers, 74, of 423 Enoch Street, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at Duke University Hospital.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Mr. Walter Lee Rogers, and Mrs. Emily Dixon Rogers, both deceased.

Shirley was also preceded in death by three brothers, James Sellars, Joe Calvin Rogers and Garron Rogers; three sisters, Maude Lea Bradsher, Betty McCandies and Fay Rogers Corbett.

Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memories one brother, Bobby Rogers of Burlington; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Shirley’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:30am at Alamance Funeral Service with Rev. Michael Thompson presiding and Rev. Robert Corbett delivering the eulogy.  Burial will follow in the Arches Grove UCC Cemetery.

The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to her funeral service in the chapel. 

Shirley’s public viewing will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 1-6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Social distancing will be observed and a mask is required.
