MS. SHELIA ELAINE IRELAND          

BURLINGTON – Ms. Shelia Elaine Ireland, 66, of 928 Sharpe Road Lot # 12, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Mr. Jessie James Ireland and Mrs. Annie Warnell Long Ireland, both deceased.

Shelia was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jerry Lee Chavis, Sr.

Shelia leaves behind to cherish her memories two sons, Jonathan Christopher Tyner and Tyron Lamount Tyner both of the home; two sisters, Glenda Gale Ireland of Burlington; Evelyn Helen Chavis of Graham; two brothers, Teddy Lee Ireland, Sr, and Charles Edwin Ireland, both of Burlington; one grandson, Taven Ray Tyner of Elon; special friend, Thomas Poteat, Jr. of Burlington; one goddaughter, Corresha Aultman Steadwell of Greensboro; and a host of nieces, nephews and  other relatives and friends.

Shelia’s funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 2:30pm at Children’s Chapel United Church of Christ with Rev. Rodney Foxx officiating and delivering the eulogy.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to her funeral service at the church and all other times at the home of her sister, 1457 Knollwood Drive, Burlington, NC 27217.

Shelia’s public viewing will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 1-7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Social distancing will be observed and a mask is required.
