MS. MARY ELIZABETH BLACKWELL TROXLER

GREENSBORO– Ms. Mary Elizabeth Blackwell Troxler, 85, of 710 Tuscaloosa Street, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Beacon Place Hospice.

A native of Caswell County, she was the daughter of Mr. Jack Wellington Blackwell and Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Herbin Blackwell, both deceased. 

Mary was also preceded in death by three brothers, Walter W., Floyd L. and Thomas M. Blackwell and one sister, Joanna B. Thomas.  

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memories three daughters, Earletta (Etta) Troxler of High Point; LaWana Troxler Djimraou (Maazou) and Winnie R. Troxler both of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Saquon R. Henryhand (Say); Debro E. Henryhand (Jr.); two great grandchildren, Zamari (Mari) Simms; Aaliyah R. Henryhand; and a host of other family members and friends.

Mary’s homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church at 12:00 pm with Rev. Dr. James W. Fisher delivering the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Carolina Biblical Gardens Cemetery

The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to her funeral service at the church.

Mary’s public viewing will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Hargett Funeral Home from 1-5:00 pm.
