MS. JOANNE MOORE

BURLINGTON – Ms. Joanne Moore, 75, of 1938 Durham Street, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Mrs. Obelia Moore Greer, who survives.

Joanne was also preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Edgar G. Moore and Sallie Vanhook Moore.

In addition to her mother, Obelia Moore Greer of Burlington Joanne leaves behind to cherish her memories two sons, Craig and Christopher Moore both of Burlington; two sisters, Linda Moore and Phillis Perkins both of Burlington; one grandchild, Makala Moore of Mebane; and a host of other family and friends.

Joanne’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 2:00pm at Alamance Funeral Service with Elder Derek King presiding and Min. Diane Jeffries delivering the Words of Comfort.  Burial will follow in the Warren’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to her funeral service in the chapel and at all other times at the home of her sister, Linda Moore at 610 Durham Street, Burlington, NC 27217.

Joanne’s public viewing will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 1-6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Social distancing will be observed and a mask is required.
