MS. ELIZABETH “MAE” PALMER
GREENSBORO – Ms. Elizabeth “Mae” Palmer, 86, of 1344 Sharp Ridge Road, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Orangeburg County, she was the daughter of Mr. Henry Palmer and Annie Wright Palmer, both deceased.
Elizabeth was also preceded in death by two sons, Anthony and Derrick Palmer, eight siblings, Maria Shaw (Dolly), Maggie Mack, Deloris Armstrong, Helen Palmer, Katherine Norris, Elton Palmer, Ernest Palmer (Coodie) and Sonny Palmer.
Elizabeth leaves behind to cherish her memories daughter, Angela Barnes of the home; her son, John Wesley Palmer of Atlanta GA; five grandchildren, Victoria and Victor Barnes of Greensboro; Derrick Palmer, Jr.; Caidene and Elijah Palmer all of Atlanta, GA; three great grandchildren, Jaedon, Chanel, and Koury Brown all of Greensboro; and a host of other family members and friends.
Elizabeth’s homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Evangel Fellowship with Elder Michael Lewis, Sr. officiating and Min. Fredie Barnes, Jr. delivering her eulogy. Interment will follow in the Proximity Mills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to her funeral service at the church and all other times at the home.
Elizabeth’s public viewing will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2022 at Hargett Funeral Home from 1-5:00 pm.
Social distancing will be observed and a mask is required.
