MRS. SANDRA SERENA PETTIFORD JONES

BURLINGTON – Mrs. Sandra Serena Pettiford Jones, 54, of 1113 North Park Ave Apt B, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at Cone Health at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Person County, she was the daughter of Mr. Roosevelt Pettiford and Mrs. Maggie Lee Moore Pettiford, both deceased, and the wife of Tony Jones who survives.

Left to cherish Serena’s memory are her daughter, Shaina Pettiford of Burlington; grandson, Zaki Shoffner; husband, Tony Jones of Burlington; stepmother, Joyce Moore of Burlington; one brother; Bishop Timothy Richmond (Melissa) of Burlington; five sisters, Cynthia Pettiford of Elon, Loretta Pettiford, Veronica Darlene, Shelby Florence (James), all of Burlington, and Christine “Binkie” Richmond of Greensboro; a special friend, Michael Compton of Burlington; and a host of nieces, nephews other family members and friends.

Sandra Serena Pettiford, you will be forever in our hearts!

Serena’s memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 10:30 am in the Alamance Funeral Service Chapel with Bishop Timothy Richmond officiating and delivering the words of comfort.

The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to her memorial service in the chapel. 

No public viewing will be held.

Social distancing will be observed and a mask is required.
