MRS. MARY LEE VAN VENEGAR     

WHITSETT – Mrs .  Mary Lee Van Venegar, 78, of 1916 Whisper Lake Drive Unit A , passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at Liberty Commons.

A native of Wayne County, Michigan she was the daughter of Mr. George Miller and Mrs. Ruth Miller, both deceased, and the wife of Richard Thomas Venegar, also deceased.  

Mary was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Lee Miller, Rufus Van, and Jerry Miller.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memories one daughter, Tranetta Marie Redmond (Donald) of the home; two goddaughters, Nicole Willams; Kamela Bell; one brother, Roger Miller of Detroit, MI; one sister, Fannie Mae Harris (Frazier) of Indianapolis, IN; four grandchildren, Indeah Marie Williams (Travis) of Atlanta GA; Candice Redmond of Houston, TX; Kyle Redmond, Lauren Hedrick both of Detroit, MI; one great grandchild, Tristian Williams of Atlanta, GA; and a host of other family and friends.

Mary’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 11:00am at Alamance Funeral and Crematorium with Bishop Ricky Valines delivering the eulogy.

There will be no public viewing or family visitation.

Social distancing will be observed and a mask is required.
