Mrs. Eunice (Everett) Mathis

MRS. EUNICE EVERETT MATHIS

BURLINGTON- Mrs. Eunice Everett Mathis, 86, of 2805 Trail Six, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Alamance County, Mrs. Mathis was the daughter of Harvey Everett and Georgia Hunt, both deceased, and the wife of Willie James Mathis, who survives. Other family member that preceded Mrs. Mathis in death include daughter, Dianne Rankin; brothers, James, Robert, David, Harvey, Bennie, Ernest and Charlie Everett; sisters, Elise Artis, Mildred Bowers, Leola Dixon, Gladys Darden, Lillian Everett and Florine Bowen.

In addition to her husband Willie of the home, she is survived by her two sisters, Susie E. Britt, Judy Diggs; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Mathis’ funeral service will be held on Saturday October 28, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Ebenezer United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Larry E. Covington officiating and delivering the eulogy.  

The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the funeral service at the church.

A public viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 1-7:00 pm.
