MRS. DORIS “DOT” JEAN MCDONALD OWENS
GRAHAM- Mrs. Doris “Dot” Jean McDonald Owens, 79, of 512 Border Street, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Mr. Howard McDonald and Mrs. Evelyn Rogers McDonald, both deceased.
Doris was also preceded in death by three sisters, Josephine and Kathleen McDonald and Enolia Parson.
Doris leaves to cherish her memories, her only child, Lee Anthony Cobb (Gloria) of Greensboro; two brothers, Howard Brooks McDonald (Jean) of Montgomery AL; Artes Eugene McDonald (Emily) of Brown Summit; five sisters, Jessie Mae Crumpton of Burlington; Carrie Sue Vaughn of Chapel Hill; Sharron McDonald of Green Level; Sheila Blackwell and Assistant Pastor Donnis Holt (Sammy) both of Graham; one grandchild, Aaliyah Cobb; two great grandchildren, Juelz Kamarri Cobb; Brandon Javon Epps; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Doris’ funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 12:30pm at Alamance Funeral Service, with Apostle Ronald Gaymon presiding and Apostle Amethyst Gaymon delivering the eulogy.
The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to her funeral service in the chapel.
Doris’ public viewing will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 1-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Social distancing will be observed and a mask is required.
