MR. LAWRENCE WILLIAM LEE

BURLINGTON- Mr. Lawrence William Lee., 90, of 1322 Thomas Street, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center.

Lawrence was the son of Mr. Charlie Lee and Mrs. Cordie Bethel Lee, both deceased and the husband of Edna Leath Lee who survives.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charlie and Cordie Lee; a son, Philip Shelton Lee; siblings, William Lee, Eugene Lee, Annie Mae L. Leath, Pearl L. Stewart, Frances L. Moore, and Virginia Inez Lee Beasley.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of over fifty years, Edna F. Leath Lee; sons, Lawrence Jr. (Roxie),Tarius (Andrea), Keith, and Mark (Vanessa); daughters, Jacqueline and Debbie; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Shirley Degraffenried (Redell)and Glenda Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Lawrence’s funeral service will be held on Friday,  September, 1, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Patillo Congregational Church with Reverend Robert Jarrell officiating and Reverend Charlie Leath performing the eulogy.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Military Honors will be preformed.

Lawrence’s public viewing will be held on Thursday, August 31, 20023 at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 pm.

The family will receive family and friends thirty minutes prior to the funeral service at the church.
