MR. JOHN LANKFORD HESTER, SR.
BURLINGTON- Mr. John Lankford Hester, Sr., 83, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at AthoraCare Collective Hospice of Burlington.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Mr. William Hester and Mrs. Eljay Bosman Hester, both deceased and the husband of Elaine Wright Hester, who survives.
John was preceded in death by a daughter, Fredericka Hester and three brothers, William, Larry, and Ricky Hester.
In addition to his wife of New Jersey John leaves to cherish his memories one son, John Hester, Jr. (Justine) of Somerset NJ; one sister, Fay Hester Taylor (William) of Jamaica Queens, NY; two grandchildren, John Kerel Hester and Janelle Elaine Hester, both of New Jersey; and a host of other family and friends.
John’s homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 1:00pm at Alamance Funeral Service with Rev. Donna Vanhook presiding and Rev. Wiley performing the eulogy. Burial will follow in North Lawn Cemetery where military rites will be held.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
