MR. JERMANE “JAY” HARPER
HIGH POINT- Mr. Jermane “Jay” Harper, 42, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Meridian Center.
A native of Guilford County, Jermane was the son of the late Mary Louise Harper.
Jermane leaves cherished memories to Lester and Kimberly Rorie, Herman and Jennifer Rorie, one brother, Tommy Lee Harper of High Point; one sister, Christina Harper of Greensboro, Alabama; foster brothers, Marius (Lydia) Leak of Williamsburg, VA, Terran Clinton (Cindy) of Greensboro, Michael (Monica) Davis of High Point, Mark S. Davis (deceased), Cameron D. Rorie of High Point; foster sisters, Sheena Rorie of Greensboro, Latisha Rorie of Charlotte, Tracie Garrison and Sandy (Derrick) Whitaker of High Point; Stephanie Rorie of Las Vegas, NV; nine aunts, Tolisa Mitchell, Barbara Sheely, Minnie (Ray) Gantt of High Point, Rosa (Ronnie Terry) of Lexington, Sherry (Bill) Fuller, Deborah (Ricky) Oglesby (deceased), Mary Sistunk, Faye Simmons of Winston-Salem and Lillie Tucker (Marvin, d.) of High Point; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Two very special friends include Bert Davis of Washington, DC and Chris Smith of Conover, NC.
Jermane’s homegoing service will be celebrated on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 12:00 pm at New Horizon Baptist Church, 401 Gordon Street, High Point, with Minister LaWana Wilcot-Free officiating, and Pastor Timothy Simmons delivering the eulogy.
Jermane will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 11:00am-12:00pm with the family to arrive at 11:30am.
