MR. JAMES O’DANIEL “PUDDIN” GRAVES, JR.

BURLINGTON - Mr. James O’Daniel  “Puddin” Graves, Jr., 70, of,  119 Cameron Street, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at his residence.

A native of Alamance County, he was the son of, Mr. James O’Daniel Graves, Sr. and Mrs. Annie Hester Graves, both deceased.

 In addition to his parents, Puddin was also  preceded in death by his sister Diana Graves; his brother Terry Graves, and his aunt, Myrtle Hester.

Puddin leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Jeffrey Sanders of Philadelphia, PA ;  Akil Graves of Cary, NC.; brother, John D. Graves of Burlington; sister, Donna Kay Graves of the home; Special friend Ida Cousin and a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives, family and friends. 

James’ funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Arches Grove United Church of Christ.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the funeral service at the church.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at the funeral home from 1-7:00 pm.
