MRS. HASSIE BRASHER RONE

BURLINGTON- Mrs. Hassie Brasher Rone, 98, 2636 Albert Jeffries Road, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at her residence.

A native of Person County, Hassie was the daughter of the late Sydney Brasher and the late Mary White Daye and the wife of Lloyd Rone, also deceased.  

Hassie was a dedicated member of Clegg’s Chapel in Person, County, NC.   She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Hassie was not a woman of many words, but was bold and respected whenever she did speak.  She harbored much wisdom and was a blessing to anyone that she was  in the presence of.  She was sure enough to make you smile and laugh because of her loving spirit.  

Hassie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband; brother, John Jr. and one sister, Flora Moore. 

Hassie leaves cherished memories to five children, Vivian Rogers (Preston), Doretha Hester, Tinsey Rone, Thelbert Rone and Lloyd Edward Rone.  Hassie had an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great– grandchildren; countless other relatives and friends. 

Her funeral service will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Alamance Funeral Service and Crematorium, with Reverend Mark Webb delivering the eulogy.  Burial will follow in Hester Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the funeral service and all other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Preston Rogers, 1615 Silk Oaks Court Mebane, NC 27302.

Hassie’s public viewing will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the funeral home from 1-7:00 pm.
